Frequently Asked Questions
Account Creation
Q1: How do I create an account on Life Day?
Click "Sign up" in the top-right corner and enter your email, password, and birthday. You'll receive a confirmation email—just follow the link to activate your account.
Q2: Why do you ask for my birthday?
Your birthday is used to calculate your "Life Day"—the number of days you've been alive. This is how your journal entries are organized.
Q3: Can I change my birthday later?
No. Since it anchors your timeline, your birthday cannot be changed after registration. If needed, you can delete your account and create a new one.
Posting
Q1: How do I create a post?
Once logged in, tap the "+" button to create a new post. You can upload one photo and write a short entry. Free users can post once per day, and posts are locked after submission (unless you're on a Premium or Patron plan).
Q2: Can I write multiple entries in a day?
Free users can post once per day. Premium and Patron users can post up to 5 entries per day.
Q3: Can I edit a post after publishing it?
Free users cannot edit posts after submission. Premium and Patron users can edit their entries any time on the day they were posted.
Q4: Can I post to previous days?
Voyager and Patron users can use "Past Day Tickets" to create posts for earlier dates. These are limited, so use them thoughtfully.
Viewing
Q1: Can I keep my posts private?
Yes. When creating a post, you can mark it as private. Private posts are only visible to you and do not appear in Explore or tag feeds.
Q2: Can I view posts from other users?
Yes. Public posts from other users are viewable through the Explore section. You can browse by Life Day, tags, or popularity. Private posts are not visible to others.
Q3: What's the difference between my timeline and Explore?
Your timeline shows only your own Life Day entries. Explore displays public posts from all users, filtered by visibility and engagement.
Q4: Can I follow other users?
Patron users can follow others and view their updates in the Chrononaut view.
Q5: Can I search for specific posts or tags?
Yes. You can filter posts by Life Day, tag, and other criteria in the Explore section. More advanced search tools are on the way.
